Blackstrap Lake is a long, man-made reservoir in Blackstrap Provincial Park. It was built in 1967 for irrigation, municipal, and industrial water supply, and then soon after became a hot spot for recreation. The water is usually pretty calm, so boating, canoeing, windsurfing, water skiing, and swimming are popular, and anglers fish for species like walleye and northern pike.
