Kittersburger Mühle
To avoid the then considerable journey to Rohrburg or Altenheim, the wealthy citizen Joseph Hügel built a grist mill with two millstones and a grinding groove, as well as a rubbing mill here in 1767. The mill remained in the possession of the Hügel family until 1827, after which the owners changed. After a fire in 1928, a larger new building was erected. In 1938, the Prince of Fürstenberg took over the building as a hunting lodge.
Today, the Kittersburger Mühle, with its idyllic location, is a popular destination for hikers and cyclists.
