La Barrière Park is a beautiful 130-hectare riverside greenspace just south of Winnipeg, that is a mix of forest, prairie, and open fields along the La Salle River. There are nature trails that loop through the park, including a 3-kilometre route that winds through wooded areas and along the riverbank, which is ideal for walking, birdwatching, and cross-country skiing in winter. The park also includes a boat launch, picnic areas, and sports fields, making it a popular year-round destination for families, paddlers, and outdoor groups.
