In Melk, this striking sculpture made of stone and metal marks the Jerusalemweg. It consists of a natural stone block with a spherical metal construction and the inscription „JERUSALEM WAY“. The installation stands at the entrance to the town near Melk Abbey and symbolizes the beginning or continuation of the international peace and pilgrimage route that connects Europe with Jerusalem. It is considered the Dove of Peace of Melk and recalls the central message of the route: peace, tolerance, and the connection of religions and cultures.
