Mountain biking
A few km from Herend, towards Veszprém, we find the Bándi - Esseg Castle next to the Horizont Bike Route (and it is also recommended by horizontbike.hu). By bike, we can only get there by going around Castle Hill: from Kossuth Lajos Street on a gravel road. When you get to the castle (free of charge), you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Bakony ranges. It was built at the beginning of the 14th century, and its deterioration can be dated back to the Turkish invasion.
