Val Gerona is a wild and little-known valley east of Mount Alben. Starting from the Madonna del Frassino sanctuary, you can reach the Campelli Pass and the summit of Mount Alben. The first section is a hiking trail, then it switches to an easy-to-reach section.

Beautiful trail. We did it in late October, and the only difficulty we encountered was that the leaves made the trail a bit obscured. The trail is perfectly walkable, with no technical difficulties, just a bit steep.
The best part is that it's sheltered from the sun for almost the entire route.
