If you follow the sign "Burghügel" you come to the Ruppersdorfer See. There is a secluded bench for a leisurely break and a view of the lake and castle hill. A little further on, you come to a lookout tower that offers a view of the Feldstein Church in Ratekau and the lake with many different species of birds. A pair of binoculars to watch would not be bad.
