A popular Finnish TV series is filmed at Strömsö Villa. The series focuses on housework and gardening, with cooking being a particular focus.
The villa was built in 1860 by a family from Vaasa who, even back then, believed that city living was unhealthy. A popular photo subject is the villa's veranda, which is zoomed in on at the beginning of the series.
There is also a public beach by the water.
