The two viewing platforms on the roof of the former coal washery, located at heights of 45 m and 47 m, offer impressive panoramic views of the region. The coal washery at Shaft XII is the largest building in the surface facilities at Zollverein. During operating hours, up to 24,000 tons of raw coal were processed there daily.
To access the panoramic roof, you must either take a guided tour or purchase a museum ticket.
