The NVA Museum Rügen in Prora (near Binz) is a private technology and military museum dedicated to the National People's Army (NVA) of the GDR. It is located directly at the historic "Koloss von Prora" (the huge KdF building from the Nazi era, which was later used as a barracks) and primarily displays robust military technology from the Cold War era.
The museum focuses on vehicles, aircraft, and equipment of the NVA (1956–1990), which was considered one of the best-equipped armies in the Warsaw Pact. Much of it was scrapped after reunification, making the preserved pieces rare.
