Cycling

The Plague Column in Bratislava, also called the Holy Trinity Column, was erected in 1712–1713 after the end of a severe plague epidemic and stands on Rybné námestie near the Danube and St. Martin's Cathedral. The Baroque monument depicts the Holy Trinity at its top, while the base features figures of saints such as Rochus, Charles Borromeo, Andrew, the Mother of God, and St. Stephen. As one of the few surviving plague monuments in the city, the column still commemorates the plague and is also a striking example of Baroque piety in Bratislava.
