The Canal du Midi has many curves here and is relatively close to nature. The trees line the canal, some of them even reaching into the water. The bike path is shaded by the large trees. A dream.

The Canal du Midi, formerly Canal Royal, is a 17th-century technical feat designed by Pierre-Paul Riquet to connect the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. Today, it is above all a place for relaxation and discovery, where heritage, nature, and conviviality blend.
Between Montagne Noire and Malepère, bordered by the Via Romaine towards Toulouse and the road to Foix towards Ariège and Spain, Caux & Sauzens has managed to preserve its village authenticity.
