The Portico of San Luca is the longest continuous portico in the world, with its 3.8 kilometers and 666 arches connecting Porta Saragozza to the Sanctuary on the Colle della Guardia. Built between the 17th and 18th centuries to protect the procession of the Madonna di San Luca, it represents one of the symbols of Bologna.
