The Harle is a small river in the Wittmund district of East Frisia. It lies entirely within the town of Wittmund and flows into the North Sea through a sluice in the Harlesiel district. It is a marsh waterway.

Hiking
The views from the bridges over the sluices onto the water are always beautiful. Just to the left of the bridge - in a northerly direction - there is a nice spot for a picnic. If you walk north from here on the west side of the Harle, you will also find two nice benches by the water after a few minutes.
