The monument, often referred to as the Engagement Table or Engagement Stone, is located in Wiener Neustadt's Akademiepark on a slight elevation. The stone obelisk erected there commemorates a historic gloriette, at the site of which Maria Theresa is said to have become engaged to Francis of Lorraine in 1735. In addition, the monument documents the historical visits of various emperors over time through chiseled inscriptions.

Hiking
The monument is located in the middle of the park at an interesting intersection; There are more comfortable seats in the park than here 😉.
