The oldest parts of the Franciscan monastery church date from the years after 1295, when King Wenceslas II founded the Minorite monastery and thus also the city of Pilsen. Adjacent to the city walls, the monastery church and monastery buildings were built, including the pentagonal presbytery and the eastern part of the nave, both of which were probably built around 1300.

The Franciscan monastery was founded at the end of the 13th century. The monastery complex also includes the Baroque Church of the Assumption of Mary. It's very beautiful. Regular services are held, and on Sundays, Vietnamese worship is even offered.
