Hiking
The first evidence of the building dates back to the 10th century. The cathedral has undergone various changes over the centuries. Its current appearance dates back to the renovation of 1605 which, however, caused the loss of every trace of the original Roman-Gothic structure. The interior houses paintings by artists such as Prospero Fontana, Ludovico Carracci and Donato Creti.

A church already existed in 1028, as evidenced by a pre-Romanesque bell tower with a circular floor plan (modeled on that of Ravenna). The church was destroyed in the great fire of 1141 and rebuilt and reconsecrated by Pope Lucius III in 1184.
In 1396, the façade was enhanced by a portico (colonial porch), which was renovated in 1467.
