The Mountain View Connector Trail offers a pleasant and accessible hiking experience through Utah's Salt Lake Valley. You'll find yourself on a primarily smooth asphalt or concrete surface, though some sections might be unpaved, providing varied terrain underfoot. Enjoy panoramic views of the sprawling Salt Lake Valley and the majestic Wasatch Front, with vibrant sunflowers adding color in late summer. Keep an eye out for wildlife like various bird species, deer, and even bull snakes.

This easy 3.1-mile (4.9 km) hike, with only 153 feet (47 metres) of elevation gain, typically takes about 1 hour and 18 minutes to complete. While generally gentle, some challenging hills exist, especially if you head north from Daybreak. The trail is part of a larger multi-use system, so you can choose your desired hiking distance. Parking is available at various access points along the corridor.

Part of the extensive Mountain View Corridor system, this trail is designed for both hikers and cyclists, enhancing safety and connectivity with upgraded intersections and pedestrian bridges. Its design allows for flexibility, making it a great option for beginner hiking or a quick, rewarding outing. The trail's urban setting surprisingly yields moments of natural beauty and opportunities for wildlife observation.
