Tip is now (summer 2021) outdated, the path is free again. Fantastic views!
ATTENTION! The Ponaleweg (old road through the Ponale Gorge) is CLOSED between Riva/junction from the "Strada 45bis" and the Valle di Ledro/connection to the "Strada 240" due to safety work until at least March 2021! Fences have been put up. Unfortunately, there is no bypass for bicycles, including MTBs. The road tunnel of the "Strada 240" to the Valle di Ledro is only permitted for motor vehicles.
