The Bible garden behind the Alexander Church in Wildeshausen was designed in the spring of 2019 based on the biblical model. Here you will find plants and trees that are mentioned in the Bible or are in the context of the biblical story - lemon, pomegranate, olive, myrtle, mulberry tree, peony and much more.

Every Wednesday the Bible gardeners volunteer on site for two hours. Hobby gardeners who help are always welcome. There are also guided tours of the Bible Garden.

With the Bible Garden of St. Alexander's Church in Wildeshausen, we aim to revive the ancient and long-standing tradition of monastery gardens. There are currently more than 150 Bible gardens in Germany.

In the Bible Garden, you will find plants and trees mentioned in the Bible that can have various meanings depending on the context. Plants can be symbols of Christian values, but also a metaphor for the relationship between man and God.
