The small church of San Bartolomeo, from 1474, has a rectangular plan and a single nave, with a double-pitched roof, a bell tower with a four-pitched roof and a small cross at the top. The portal of late-Gothic lines is surmounted by a mighty architrave that rests on two reversed-leaf brackets and small diamond points with the Sgariglia coat of arms in the center, as it was owned by the noble Ascoli family.

The small church of San Bartolomeo alle Piagge stands on a panoramic natural balcony overlooking Ascoli. Characterized by a simple single-nave travertine structure, it features a late-Gothic portal with the coat of arms of the noble Sgariglia family. Inside, precious 16th-century frescoes, rediscovered during the 1975 restoration, are preserved.
