Hiking

The Vilsquelle rises in Kleinschönbrunn Markt Freihung, and forms the center of the place. The spring discharge is around 11 liters per second and flows through small towns in the direction of Amberg to Kallmünz, where it flows into the Naab after around 85 km. Next to the spring there is a small playground with a swing, slide and climbing ship where the small children can enjoy themselves.

Mountain biking

The newly designed village center with the Vilsquelle invites you to spend some time there. The source design with the artwork of the five water spirits - mythical creatures that lurk in the water between the spring stones - is intended to stimulate the discovery and appreciation of water as a source of life. For the children, there is a completely redesigned playground on the theme of "water" with many action options, such as a wooden boat and a stream with pump. The Vilsquelle is the starting point for biking and hiking. Here begins the 90 km long Vilstalwanderweg. pages.et4.de/de/landkreis-amberg-sulzbach/streaming/detail/POI/p_18810/vilsquelle-kleinschonbrunn
