The Monument to Rius i Taulet, located on Lluís Companys Promenade in Barcelona, was built between 1897 and 1901 to honor Francesc de Paula Rius i Taulet, the city's mayor during the 1888 Universal Exposition. Designed by architect Pere Falqués and sculptor Manuel Fuxà, it features an obelisk with a bronze bust of Rius i Taulet on the front, surrounded by allegorical figures representing Labor and the City. On the rear, there are depictions of Fame and three geniuses symbolizing Art, Science, and Industry. The monument was inaugurated on September 17, 1901.
