In the center of the village of Martué stands a beautiful 18th-century chapel, dedicated to Saint Roch, probably as protection against the plague that struck in 1636.
The chapel is currently undergoing restoration.

The carefully crafted entrance door is crowned by a small, finely worked triangular pediment. Below it is a naive equestrian statue, possibly a pilgrim on the way to Santiago de Compostela. The statue depicts a rider with a flag decorated with a scallop shell. If this represents Saint James Matamore, this image would be the only one of its kind currently found in the province of Luxembourg.

The restoration of the chapel is complete.

This chapel was built in 1725.
It was built and financed by the parishioners of Martué themselves, so that they no longer had to go to church services in Florenville, due to the difficult access during floods of the Semois.

It is dedicated to Saint-Roch, probably in memory of the plague that ravaged the region in 1636.

The triple mononef is closed off by a three-sided polygonal choir.

The polychrome furniture is in the Baroque style.

The decoration on the facade of a bas-relief represents Saint-Jacques de Compostelle Matamore, in memory of the Compostellan pilgrimage that passed through Martué.
