The station was put into service in 1867 by the "Compagnie du Chemin de Fer de Tamines à Landen". In 1871, the Belgian railways took over the line and the station. In 1960, passenger services were discontinued but freight trains continued to run until 1973. In 1978, the tracks were dismantled and in the new Millennium, the route became part of the RAVEL network.
