Leaving Cottbus on the Spree Cycle Path toward Branitz or Burg, you'll pass a rather inconspicuous but worthwhile gem just beyond the city center: the ponds at the Spreewehr. The path here runs along a well-maintained gravel section that winds gently between water and trees.
