The Grand Master's Palace is one of the most popular tourist attractions of the Greek island of Rhodes. The impressive 14th-century building, considered one of the city's landmarks, is located at the highest point in Rhodes' old town and is visited daily by numerous tourists from around the world.

The Grand Master's Palace is the most important and largest building in the old town of Rhodes. At first there was an ancient temple. When the Johanniter occupied Rhodes in the 14th century, they built a palace on the site. After the conquest by the Ottomans, a powder magazine exploded in 1856. The building was almost completely destroyed and 800 people died with it. From 1937 onwards, the Italians largely rebuilt the present palace. Not true to the original, especially inside. However, the entrance portal with the two round towers is still like it was from the Johanniter era.
