Nice place to relax. With city benches and a cafe. There is also a clean, public toilet here.

The name of the square, "Schweinemarkt," is historical. It comes from the Middle Ages, when some streets and squares were reserved for the trade in certain animals or products. In recent decades, however, the square has mainly been visited by those who parked their cars there. With the new use of the Schweinemarkt as a place to linger instead of a parking lot from mid-2021, Dinkelsbühl is establishing a southern-style piazza with a special flair and making the city center even more attractive.
