Landes Island is a French coastal island located in the English Channel, off the coast of Cancale in Ille-et-Vilaine (Brittany), northeast of Pointe du Grouin, to which it is geologically linked.

It is a bird sanctuary that is said to be home to over 1,000 pairs of gulls.

The wave-pounded lozenge of Île des Landes – 1.1km long, slender and uninhabited – is home to hundreds of gulls and other seabirds. It's directly east as you stand at the Pointe du Grouin but as it's a bird reserve, the islet cannot be visited, despite being temptingly close.
