The former electoral government building was rebuilt in the Inn-Salzach style after the city fire of 1504. It served as the administrative center of the tax office until 1802, and as a teacher training college from 1877 to 1934. Today, it houses the City Hall and the Helmbrecht Hall, which are used for events. Concerts during the Jazz Week also take place in this historic setting.
