Cycling

On the hill on the road from Platt to Roseldorf, the pilgrims from Platt "took leave" (i.e. "said goodbye") before setting off for Maria Dreieichen. The Pieta, made of Zogelsdorf sandstone, faces the dirt road on the Sandberg. This dirt road is part of the former postal road from Vienna to Prague in the mid-18th century. The next stop on the postal route to Prague was Pulkau. An inscription on the front states that it was built in 1696 and that the shrine was donated by Laurenz Bickher.
