Reconstruction of an Edo Period Police Station and Court of Justice on the Sanshu Kaido. From here the Tokugawa Shogunat controlled the local salt trade on the old Sanshu Kaido highway as well as local affairs. The local history museum of Iijima is in the same building. The exhibition also includes a reconstruction of the place were suspects were interrogated and tortured by the military police.
