At the top of the facade it says "Aurora". This refers to the canning factory that Aimé Talpe founded in Amersveldestraat in 1907. The house is therefore known as "Mansion Aurora".
The Aurora cannery (whose buildings were demolished in 2015) later adopted the name "Star", a name that sounds much more familiar. Later the company was taken over by Bonduelle.
