Hiking

The local poet Otto Schemm was born in this house on Fridauer Strasse in 1920. He later worked as a school principal in Arzberg. He became known as a local and dialect poet and author. Schemm worked as a freelancer for Bavarian Radio. He wrote almost 20 plays and more than 100 sketches and radio plays. He has received numerous awards and cultural prizes for his work. There is also an Otto Schemm Square in Brand in his honour.
