The park is very dog-friendly, welcoming leashed dogs on the trails and offering a dedicated dog park, making it ideal for families and pet owners. Often called a "signature park" and "crown jewel of Clearwater," Crest Lake Park provides both a half-mile loop directly around the lake and a longer one-mile perimeter trail that encircles the entire 39-acre park. The minimal 5 feet (2 metres) of elevation gain over 1.1 miles (1.8 km) makes this 11-minute route accessible for all fitness levels, including those with strollers or wheelchairs, and it features the poignant Florida Veterans' Memorial Plaza.
