On the disused railway line light (Piesau) - Ernstthal lies in the middle of the forest, the imposing Finstergrund viaduct, built in 1911-1913 from unreinforced stamped concrete. The viaduct is 197 meters long and up to 25.5 meters. On the track is now and then still trolley traffic with tourists, but basically you can walk over this bridge, but also from the bottom it is very impressive.

The Finstergrund Viaduct is an impressive railway bridge in the Thuringian Forest, near Neuhaus am Rennweg. The viaduct is located along the former railway line from Sonneberg to Probstzella. More precisely, it is located near Lichte, a district of Neuhaus am Rennweg. The Finstergrund Viaduct was built between 1911 and 1913. It was constructed of unreinforced rammed concrete.
