Rest area with seating and information boards. The bird island on the Altmühlsee - pure nature! It's worth taking a short walk across the island. Bicycle stands to secure the wheels are available right at the beginning of the bridge to the island. A great island and water world has been created here with habitat for over two hundred species of birds.

The Bird Island is an absolute highlight and a must-see. Get involved with nature a little; not everything is visible at first glance. Beavers from the 10 beaver families living there are more likely to be seen at dusk. But even during the day, there's buzzing, chirping, crawling, and flying everywhere.
