Mountain biking

One of the few drinking water reservoirs in Siegerland. For this, residents of two villages - Obernau and Nauholz - had to be relocated.

Mountain biking

The Obernau Dam is a local recreation area and drinking water reservoir in Brauersdorf near Netphen. Clean, free restrooms are located at the parking lot. The paved circular trail around the dam (including the forebay near Nauholz) is almost 10 km long. Many walkers, hikers, bikers, and joggers use this path, which offers numerous views of the dam. There are also beautiful views from the higher forest paths—so feel free to take a mountain bike ride up there.
