Albert Park, laid out in the English style around 1848 by the Weimar court gardener and student of Prince Pückler in Muskau, Eduard Petzold, in collaboration with the first spa gardener, Friedrich Prohaska, still surrounds the feudal Royal Spa House in the heart of the city.

Today, the historic Albert Park is characterized not only by the extensive meadows and the typical views of a landscape garden, but above all by the impressive ornamental plants in front of the Royal Kurhaus. The paths meander through the romantic-looking park past resting ponds and lakes, such as the Carola Pond and the Linden Pond. Here you can also find the famous statue of the health goddess "Hygea" and an impressive red oak that was planted in honor of the Royal Saxon Horticultural Inspector Paul Schindel.
