Niederwiesa Church.

Information:

Historicist hall church. Built after the demolition of the previous structure, this romanticized, single-nave church with a cruciform floor plan was constructed in the Historicist style between 1897 and 1898 and restored between 1989 and 1995.

Hiking

The church was built in 1898 after the demolition of the predecessor church. The parish wanted to acquire a new peal of bells at that time. The church tower proved to be too small for this. So the entire church was demolished and a new one built. This one is decorated inside with some sights from the time of its construction, including the beautiful stained-glass windows in the chancel and behind the side galleries, two of the latter featuring portraits of the reformers Luther and Melanchthon. gemeinde-niederwiesa.de/einrichtungen/kirche
