Simple landscaped park along the "Giesinger Terrasse", a glacial terrace edge, which runs from the zoo to the Weißenseepark and gradually flattens to the north. In the area of Säbener Straße you have an elevated view of the training grounds of FC Bayern.
As early as 1918, the green belt was planned for urban planning and kept free from further development, so that the landscape created by the glacial Isar landscape within the city is preserved. The expansion of the various sections took place in the early 1930s.
