Whorlton Castle is a ruined 14th-century tower house on the site of a Norman motte and bailey fortification, built on a spur of the Cleveland Hills.

This is just off NCN 65. A bit of a climb but lovely views. The road carries on but does not connect with the village of Faceby so you must return back to Swainby but its downhill
