The new Filstal Bridge spans the valley between Mühlhausen im Täle and Wiesensteig at a height of 85 m. This makes it the third highest railway bridge in Germany. It connects the Boßler Tunnel with the Steinbühl Tunnel and is part of the new Albaufstieg of the Stuttgart 21 railway project. The structure cannot be overlooked in the young Filstal, which is scenically beautiful but heavily burdened by the motorway and now also the railway.
