Mountain biking

Königskrug is the starting point for numerous hiking and cross-country ski trails. Three of them lead to the Achtermann, just a few kilometers away. The Hahnenkleeklippen (cliffs) are even quicker to reach from Königskrug. From there, the trail continues to the Silberteich (silver pond). Longer hiking trails lead to the Oderteich (Oder Pond), over the Bärenbrücke (Bär Bridge) to the Wurmberg (mountain), over the Dreieckiger Pfahl (triangular post) to the Brocken (mountain), and via Oderbrück to Torfhaus. There are also a variety of hiking routes from Königskrug to the center of Braunlage.
