The Jacobite steam train runs up to twice a day between Fort William and
Mallaig.
From May 1st to September 29th, the train runs over the viaduct towards Mallaig twice a day - once at around 11:00 and once at around 1:35 p.m. At these times, the train comes towards you, which gives the best view. On the way back to Fort William, the train also runs over the viaduct (3:15 p.m. and around 6:05 p.m.). In this direction, however, it doesn't look quite as spectacular.
