Moore's Swamp is a natural destination named after John B. Moore, a farmer who bought and reclaimed it for farming in the mid-1800s. It is an excellent opportunity to observe wildlife, as it is a nesting habitat for Great Blue Herons and home to many other bird species. While you are here, watch for the endangered Blanding's Turtle, which can also be found in the area.
