Hiking
After 2 years of construction, the new construction of the “Green Axis” Schwaleniederung cycle and footpath was ceremoniously opened on September 8th, 2023.
It now represents a direct connection between the city center and the local recreation area of the Schwaleniederung. Here you can experience the natural area of the Schwale along the former leather and textile industry facilities on Wrangelstrasse.
This is followed by the Schwale & Stör hiking trail.
This project was funded by the EU.
