The Brodhaus Einbeck is the oldest inn in Lower Saxony since 1378. It is right in the heart of Einbeck, across from the old town hall.
The restaurant is very cozy and the drinks and food in the historic city are appropriate.

The building was first mentioned in a document in 1333, and since 1444 it has been called the Brodhaus. The chronicler Johannes Letzner reports in his Dasselischen and Einbeckische Chronica of 1596 that the Einbeck Augustinian monk Heinrich donated the house he inherited from his parents to the bakers guild, on the condition that this annually for eternity all parish churches within a radius of two miles gave free wafers for the Should deliver the Lord's Supper.
