Upper Twin Lake

The George Lake Trail takes you deep into the Sierra high country, offering a diverse and rugged hiking experience. This moderate 4.8-mile (7.7 km) hike involves a substantial 1285 feet (392 metres) of elevation gain, typically requiring about 2 hours and 23 minutes. It's a demanding, heart-pumping adventure that rewards you with stunning alpine panoramas of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains and charming lakes like Upper Twin Lake. Acclimatization is recommended if you're coming from sea level.
