Sculpture "Buoy" in a meadow."Ingrid Hartlieb is an artist from Stuttgart. Her preferred working material is wood, for which she has developed a special process that makes the classic difference between sculpture and plastic obsolete. This creates monumental, archaic-looking forms that are reminiscent of human everyday objects. This impression is reinforced by the titles of the works, which are called, for example, Buoy, Spindle, Pendulum, Lifebuoy or Escape Tool.
